Abstract
The article is a survey of the major concepts that emerged in a number of disciplines as a means for analyzing the interaction between users and technologies. It aims at introducing the reader to the area,still rather novel in the Russian scholarship, of studying the materiality of nowadays; as well as at showing the possibilities that the conceptual fi ndings in the STS, feminist criticism, cultural and mediastudies areas open for research; and at demonstrating the ways in which these fi elds, in turn, employ classical anthropological concepts
